Valentine James, he was brought up on a farm called Waterloo Farm (I think) near Smeeth, before his death in 1989 I managed to sit with him and get a full record of his movements and activities as he was a Farrier in the first world war and survived Ypres/Passiondale and the other battles on the Somme, 175
Valentine married.
